Another school year

So school started last week and it has been as hectic as ever. We decided not to send the twins to private school this year because they just turned five and they are way immature. The private school is so structured and I just didn’t think they were ready for it. So the big boys go to private school about 25 minutes from my house. The twins go to public school about five minutes from house. The baby of course stays home with me. So here is my morning. Drive 30 minutes to drop off the big boys. My second grader’s class starts at 7:45am. My sixth grader starts school at 8am. So I just drop them both off at 7:45am since my sixth grader has gym first period and he can just go change. The twins school lets in at 8:30am but they can get there as early as 8:10am and play on the playground (with teachers supervising of course) until the bell rings. So I have to drive as slow as possible to kill time because if they stay in the car at a stop for too long they start to whine and tell me how much they hate school. So after I drop all the kids off I head home feeling like the worst Mom on the planet because my twins cry every morning because they don’t want to go school. So I get home bath the baby, clean house, take a shower, run errands, blah blah blah. Afternoon pick up is where it gets tricky. The second grader gets out at 2:30pm and the sixth grader gets out at 3:05pm and the twins get out at 3:10pm 30 minutes across town!! I know fun times! So I pay $1 a day for them to hold my second grader until 3:10pm so I can pick up the big boys together. I haul major ass across town to get to the twins school, which I arrive at approximately 3:27pm. I had to sign them up for after school (which I got for the free free SHH) and pick them up at the gym when I get there. Oh and I forgot to mention that the baby got on a schedule this summer and he eats at 3:00pm so my second grader is usually feeding him a bottle in the back seat on the way home! Man typing this was almost as exhausting as my daily car rides!!!

A look back!

So I wrote this post back shortly after I found out I was Pregnant. Preston is now two months old! So I guess I will answer these and see if any of my fears were true.

My Fears about having another child:

1. I am blessed to have healthy kids as it is…am I pressing my luck?

I AM HAPPY TO REPORT THAT PRESTON IS HAPPY AND HEALTHY

2. Will this c-section kill me?

NO IT DID NOT KILL ME BUT IT ALMOST DID…MORE ON THAT LATER

3. Who is going to take care of the other kids while I am in the hospital and recovering?

MY MOM AND MY BF JENNIFER HELPED ME OUT. THE HUBS HELPED OUT WHEN HE GOT HOME FROM WORK. I WAS VERY VERY SICK AFTER I HAD THE BABY.

4. How on earth are we going to afford another child?

HA HA CAN YOU REALLY EVER AFFORD A CHILD…WE ARE MAKING IT WORK

5. Will #5 put me over the edge?

NO HE IS A GOOD BABY..IT’S THE OTHERS THAT PUSH ME OVER THE EDGE.

6. Will I have enough attention to go around?

I TRY MY BEST, I JUST HOPE THEY LOVE EACH OTHER AS BROTHERS AS THEY ARE GROWING UP.

7. Will my Husband and I ever have a life?

NO WE DON’T HAVE A LIFE!! BUT, WE MAKE SPECIAL TIME FOR EACH OTHER.

8. Am I going to gain more weight after this baby?…I already need to lose about 40 pounds.

WELL I DIDN’T GAIN AND I DIDN’T LOSE I STILL NEED TO LOSE 40 POUNDS.

9. Will I be on bedrest again?

NO THIS BABY WAS NOT COMING. I MADE IT TO 39 WEEKS AND HAD A SCHEDULED C-SECTION

10. Will this baby be premature and in the NICU?

NO HE WAS A HEALTHY 8 POUNDS 8OZ…PRESTON THOMAS!!

2 week round up..

So let me start out by saying that this past week has been probley one of the lowest points of my life. We moved last Monday and I was excited about moving. The house was formally occupied by some friends of my husbands. I had been to the house when they first moved in and it looked nice from what I could see. So fast forward about four months. They are splitting up and asked us if we wanted to move in. My husband says yes right off the bat because he thinks it is a great house and it is across the street from his work. I agree because from what I remember the house was nice and anything was better than where we were living….so I thought.

Moving day I was suppose to be staying away while my hubby moved everything. I stop by just to see what is up. The house is totally gross. It has not been cleaned in months!! They also left a bunch of furniture and trash at the house. I am nervous but, think everything will be okay once we get everything cleaned up.

Well we have been cleaning for a week and I still can not stand it here. I start crying everytime I am driving home in the afternoon. I had my first panic attack this week…well just about everyday this week.

The house just will not come clean. I want to move because we have not paid any money or signed any papers yet and I say get out while we can.

We have every problem in the book. Such as a leak in the laundry room that is now fixed but smells, broken window upstairs, smell coming from the vents in the kitchen and diningroom, leak in the ceiling that poured on to my Christmas tree, no hot water one night.

I just can’t take it anymore. I can’t relax here. This is not a home to me. It is an old house and I just can’t make it into a home. I can;t explain it I just hate it here. My Husband can’t understand why I hate it so much but I just have a bad feeling about it. Plus it’s so far downtown that it takes 45 minutes to get the boys to b-ball practice and games. It just sucks. I am miserable. The thought of having this baby while we live here makes me want to die. I would do anything to move out. But my Husband will not budge on the subject! I don’t know what to do! If I saw my Husband cry everyday and be sad, and start to lack on his Husband and father duties because he was so unhappy, I would do whatever I had to do to make him happy…I would move in a heartbeat!

Then to top matters off, one of the twins was sick today so he was staying home from school so I let the other twin stay home too. 30 minutes after I dropped the big boys off at school one called home sick, then my service engine soon light came on the van. So now my van is in the shop and I had to rent a car.

I have not finished Christmas shopping or really even started. I am not excited about Christmas at all!!

I hope things look up soon!!

I want to be in the Christmas spirit..

I am ready to decorate and start wrapping presents…..but, do to the fact we are about to have yet another baby…we are moving in 7 days to a bigger house!! I am excited about moving. But I am ready to be moved and settled and get my tree up! I have not even started packing yet. Oh well it’s all up to the Hubs anyways I can’t lift anything in my fragile state…LOL!! The last time we moved I was 24 weeks pregnant and couldn’t move anything. Now this time I will be 22 weeks pregnant and can’t move anything!! Oh the joys of moving!!

I have got to find better writing material!!!

I have some hot info for ya!! Nobody really knows yet but I wanted to be the first to let you know that I am expecting AGAIN!! Yeah I know you probley just said “HOLY SHIT” out loud!! It’s a real shocker! I have been kinda down in the dumps about it but I’m starting to feel better now. Now pick up your jaw off the floor and get on with your day. I am a little over 3 months and they say it’s another boy!! More details to come.

Today the whole school had prayer around the flag pole. Clay was one of the few kids who asked to say a prayer out loud in front of the entire school. He asked for blessings for all of his school mates and for their school to be kept safe. I can not begin to tell you how proud I am of my son! He has the biggest heart and cares about people and things so deeply. He was so proud of himself. He said that everyone clapped for him after his prayer. I think he is so brave for doing that. I hope he keeps up the positive attitude that he has all through life! I knew that big mouth of his would be good for something one day
